Hallo! We're Christopher and Emily!

In 2025, we made the decision to move from Washington, USA to The Netherlands - wanting to see more of the world, experience how life is around the world, and to shake things up in our lives.
We've loved living in Washington, but were realizing that we'd fallen into an exhausting mindset of working hard with no plan as to what was to come next. We only have one life to live, so why not live it?

Why subscribe

By signing up, you'll receive email updates of our blog posts. We don't have an intended schedule, so we don't expect anyone to regularly visit our little corner of the internet, but we do want to have a nice, tidy place to keep all of our posts together.

Additionally, subscribing also provides you access to message on our blog posts! We want to keep in touch and this provides a fun opportunity to do so!

Who is this for

We started this website with the intent of sharing our adventures with friends, family, ex-coworkers, and other loved ones - but we are welcoming of anyone who would like to tag along for our journey around Europe.

Emily is also starting a business, both online and with the intent of forming local community, so for any of you who have met us as we acclimate to European living; Welcome!

So why aren't you just using [X] social media

The internet is a funny place that has gone through many changes over the years, but ultimately it boils down to...

• Not everyone has accounts on the same social media platforms.
• We miss the non-privatized internet. Community is our goal, not money.
• Social media's become exploitative, whether via rage-baiting algorithms or training its AI off of YOUR content - this is for us, not them.

This does not mean we won't post about our adventures on our other platforms or include some of those posts here, but we wanted this to be our go-to platform to keep everyone apprised.

Kudos, we need more RSS in the world.
Yes! Just add "/RSS" to the end of our URL for the feed.

Can I Unsubscribe

Absolutely, the link to unsubscribe is at the bottom of every email.
If you're worried about spam though, this is not a job and we're still living our lives, we're not planning on posting super often, though I imagine we'll have quite a bit to say on arrival.
